Everyone struggles through life at some point. At RHCC, we want to help. We have groups for people struggling with grief, cancer, divorce, job seekers, and more. Check out the  list of our Care Ministries and support groups below. Many of our ministries are now meeting online or have temporarily postponed meeting until we can meet again in person.
Walking through a cancer diagnosis can be one of the hardest things you and your family will ever have to do. Come find encouragement and support along your journey. The group meet via Zoom the first Saturday of each month from 9-10:30a and are open to both patients and caregivers alike. Contact Karen Visel or call 310.872 4135.
Our Care Team provides practical support to people in a variety of ways, always including prayer and scripture. There is a growing list of people in our church who are needing support and loving care to persevere during COVID19. A phone call or greeting card with a scripture verse, an occasional delivered meal, or help with an errand can make a real difference in the life of a fellow member of the RHCC family. If you have some time and a desire to be of service, please contact Barb Rankin or click here to let us know how you can help.
Meet with dedicated career consultants to assist you on the path to your job success. The third Tuesday of the month from 6 to 8 p.m. we have a Zoom Virtual Session. Contact Jeff Farmer for more information at 310.374.0701 or check out christianemployment.com.
A 13-week biblical program for those who are working through the painful issues of separation and divorce, led by those who also have survived divorce. Contact Stan Defilippi. While we are meeting on zoom during the pandemic constraints, the video content and discussion is always excellent.

overcoming anxiety.

Everyone is experiencing some level of anxiety during this quarantine.  This helpful video by Pastor Nate Aanderud will help you better understand anxiety, what it feels like, why we experience it, and give biblical steps to managing it (so it doesn't manage you!)

Susan Johnson has been on staff since 2002, initially serving on the Senior Pastor Executive Team and as a former Director of Communications.  After she completed her Masters Degree at Talbot Theological Seminary in 2017, Susan's role shifted to Adult Ministries, to serve those in our congregation who are traveling with the Lord in the midst of trials and transitions.

Susan's passion is for people to find their identity in Christ, and to live into the truth that not only is Christ in us (Romans 8:10) but also that we are in Him (Colossians 1:27); this intimacy with Christ is our source of joy.

She is a big Dodger fan (Go Blue!), loves to be outside enjoying God's creation, finding sea glass at the beach, and praying with others.
