we're reopening!

Hey church! We’re so excited to be relaunching our kid's classes on January 17th!  If you have kids and want to know what to expect from a typical Sunday, let's walk you through it.

If you would like to volunteer, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page and we'll connect with you!

register for service

*opens on Thursday at 9am

To maintain safe social distancing, each class will be limited to 5-7 children

Pre-registration is required and will open Thursday mornings at 9:00am

Masks will be required for all kids and volunteers

check-in process

When you arrive on campus, head over to the RHCC Kids Tent at either side of the main tent to get your child’s temperature checked and to pick up their name tag and parent pick-up sticker.

Your child will sit with you in service through the Kids Bible Story. After the story time, parents will be dismissed to take their child to class.

Kids 3 years old to 1st grade will meet their teachers outside of Carlson Hall at the front of the tent, while 2nd-5th grade students will meet their teachers at the back of the tent. Teachers will be holding signs to identify each class. Your child will follow the teacher to their class from there.

After the service is over, please send the same parent to come pick up the child from their class. Maps are provided at the Kids Tent during check-in to help you know where to pick up your child.

kid's experience

Once children get to their class, they will each be assigned their own personal “bubble” to help them maintain social distancing. Preschoolers will get their own swimming pool! K-5th will have either a large chalk square or a large waterproof blanket on the grass.
Kids will play a game, do a memory verse activity, motion songs, review the Bible story, or do a craft...all from their own space. Our staff are working hard to make this part as FUN and engaging for the kids as possible while keeping everyone safe.
Volunteers and staff will do their best to distance themselves from your child, however, in the event that any child needs help, teachers will step in to care for the child.

How are you helping curb the spread of COVID-19 in the classroom?

  • All children and teachers are required to wear masks while on campus, including when they are in their class.
  • Children will be spaced 6 feet apart in their own dedicated space.
  • Each child will be encouraged to sanitize their hands at the beginning of class.
  • Markers, toys and supplies will be individually packaged so they are used by only one child.
  • All surfaces will be sprayed with a long lasting disinfectant.

Why are you meeting outside?

We value the health of your children and our volunteers and we will always do everything possible to maintain a safe environment. COVID-19 is harder to spread in open air settings, so we feel it’s the best option while local infection rates are high.

What happens if it rains or if the weather is bad?

In the event of inclement weather, we will cancel classes and kids will attend the service with their family. We will provide activity bags help keep your kids engaged during the sermon.

What happens if someone in my child’s class gets COVID-19?

We will be contacting all the families and volunteers from that class, and ask them to worship from home for 14 days. If you or your child is sick, please stay home.
