ABOUT CARE MINISTRIES

Everyone struggles through life at some point. At RHCC, we want to help. We have groups for people struggling with grief, cancer, divorce, job seekers, and more. Check out the  list of our Care Ministries and support groups below.

MEET THE DIRECTOR

Susan Johnson has been on staff since 2002, initially serving on the Senior Pastor Executive Team and as a former Director of Communications.  After she completed her Masters Degree at Talbot Theological Seminary in 2017, Susan's role shifted to Adult Ministries, to serve those in our congregation who are traveling with the Lord in the midst of trials and transitions.

Susan's passion is for people to find their identity in Christ, and to live into the truth that not only is Christ in us (Romans 8:10) but also that we are in Him (Colossians 1:27); this intimacy with Christ is our source of joy.

She is a big Dodger fan (Go Blue!), loves to be outside enjoying God's creation, finding sea glass at the beach, and praying with others.
Walking through a cancer diagnosis can be one of the hardest things you and your family will ever have to do. Come find encouragement and support along your journey. The groups meet the first Saturday of each month from 9-10:30a. Patients meet in the church library. Caregivers meet in room 280. Contact Karen Visel or call 310.534.4219.
The Care Team extends the love of Christ beyond the RHCC campus and into people’s homes and hospital rooms through visits, prayer, referrals and other practical tools. To serve, contact Barb Rankin. To request a visit, please call 323.825.9694 or send an email to  rhccares@gmail.com.
Meet with dedicated career consultants to assist you on the path to your job success. The third Tuesday of the month from 6 to 8 p.m. we have a skype teleconference. Or you can skype Jeff individually. Contact Jeff Farmer for more information at 310.374.0701 or check out christianemployment.org.

Faith & Finances is a 12-week biblically integrated financial education curriculum designed for those who would like to learn basic budgeting skills in a safe, fast-paced, fun environment. We learn practical money management skills, unpacking how our money is part of God's work in the world. Together we'll learn to overcome obstacles, set savings goals, make spending plans, manage debt and loans, and more. Cost is $20 per person or $30 per couple. Dinner, workbook, and childcare included. Space is limited. Contact Marcia Trani or call 310.521.5286.
Be inspired, share/hear success stories and be reminded of God's biblical call to grandparents to be part of His plan of redemption for each generation. We meet quarterly; check the worship folder and the events page for dates and rooms.  Contact Craig Neumann at 310.560.2949.

This is an outreach for challenged adults. Sonshine Class meets Sundays at 11:15a in Room 301 on the North Campus, a class that focuses on God’s Word for mentally challenged adults. Please contact Mary Gentry at 310.378.6408.
Rolling Hills Covenant Church is committed to honor and remember the lives of those who are precious to us, and to celebrate the eternal life available to those who believe in Jesus Christ.

When a death occurs, all that you need do is to call us. We have a team of pastors who are available to officiate at a service and to help as you process your grief. Our trained staff will guide and assist you in planning a funeral or memorial service that is uniquely special. If a reception is desired after the service, we have several facilities and other resources to help you plan for an honoring event.
